Metal Blister

In week 5 we learned how to make the metal blister. Step 1: We got the different template first making from CNC cutting machines in the design lab. I got the no.7 template as shown below. Step 2: Using the electric screwdriver to make four little holes for screws on the corners of the wood template, cutting the aluminum sheet into appropriate size which the sheet will get through between the screws. Then putting the aluminum piece right in the middle of two  sheets of wood and clamping them together. Step 3: Using the hammer to strike the middle part of the aluminum sheet, making it slightly concave. Step 4: Creating the tool from scrap wood so I can get into the tight ends of the teardrop shape. The corking tool can get into the edges that I cannot reach with an ordinary hammer. Final blister:
